what's up with www.c-faq.com
Hi group, since a few hours, I can't reach www.c-faq.com anymore from nearly anywhere on the net. I tried from several places in U.S and Europe using remote shells... anyone has information about it? Thanx

It is working from here. -- Flash Gordon

Perhaps the recent attack on the core Internet servers is somehow involved. -- C. Benson Manica | I *should* know what I'm talking about - if I cbmanica(at)gmail.com | don't, I need to know. Flames welcome.

Since I'm also a customer of the ISP that's hosting it, I can speak semi-authoritatively on this: The web server apparently got wedged in such a way that it needed a reboot from the front panel (i.e. not over the network), and the trip to where it's physically located was delayed by road conditions. It's reported to be back up on the ISP's outages announcement list, and I can currently (Wed Feb 7 14:04:27 EST 2007) access it from uwaterloo.ca and from my home DSL connection (also in waterloo.on.ca). dave -- Dave Vandervies dj3va@csclub.uwaterloo.ca You would not want to treat a "queueable" entity (a customer) as if he or she were a "stackable" entity; putting customers on shelves is not a good idea. --Chris Torek in comp.lang.c
