Description:     Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Checkpoint product line including VPN client, firewalls, and associated tools Analyzes business requirements, and researches, recommends and provides architecture design and support at the highest level of expertise for the VPN Infrastructure (both Firewall and VPN Client) Consults on architectural and technical issues with internal and external vendors such as Dimension Data, AT&T, GRIC, Fiberlink, and the Global Network Services team Functions as a point of escalation for help desk/desktop teams for all VPN related/technical application issues Configures and tests software releases of VPN Firewall and VPN Client Manages firewall lab infrastructure Provides clients with user connection experience reporting, i.e. connections, drops, application metrics, usage, capacity, etc.
* 7 years of IT infrastructure experience * 2 years of project management experience * Strong UNIX / storage management back ground with emphasis on back-up & recovery
CheckPoint Certification in NG Firewall and NG VPN Client (Nokia platforms preferred) 3-5 Years experience in a role of design and implementation of CheckPoint VPN/Firewall solutions Nokia and Unix based platforms preferred. Strong foundation in Internet protocols, inc. TCP/IP, DNS, dynamic routing protocols and associated tools. Strong foundation in general network infrastructure engineering. Strong Unix skills a definite plus.
