Description: We are looking to fill our CMS Technology Director position. The Director will serve as a key Account Management link for company clients engaged in Content Management activities including Enterprise Content Management (ECM), Web Content Management (WCM), Document Management (DM), Digital Asset Management (DAM) and cross channel content delivery.
The director will work to ensure the delivery of technology projects for various clients. He/she will be customer facing and work closely with business owners, the creative and our account team to manage the development of functional requirements, setting client expectations, selection technology vendors, and will be regarded as the subject matter expert in the field of Content Management Systems.
Position Responsibilities
Provide strong systems technology leadership on areas including content management systems, search, web, multi channel communications, and personalization technologies.
Apply knowledge of Content Management products
Functional and Technical Requirements: Manage requirements gathering and provide subject matter expertise
Tools assessment and Vendor Selection across the CM product space.
Personalization strategy and tools
Ability to define the business requirements
Understand clients business needs.
Translate business needs, opportunities to requirements.
Manage entire requirements lifecycle - gather, validate, approve from each discipline and all client and company stakeholders.
Generate a requirements document that will be the input to Specifications and the criterion for QA testing.
Communicate requirements to any outsource partners
Verify specifications (internal or external) correctly capture requirements.
Assess clients content management needs, develop SOWs, and manage the client sales cycle
Serve as a key Account Management linkage for company clients engaged in content management activities.
Position Requirements:
10 plus years consulting and/or relevant industry experience
At least 5 years of client service/technical consulting/agency experience
Must be regarded as a thought leader for Content Management System design.
Have a complete understanding of the CMS marketplace.
A solid understanding of the search technology marketplace.
Excellent client relationship management skills
Excellent Consulting skills
Has the ability to review and provide feedback on application architecture.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Excellent project management and team leadership skills
Solid Experience delivering technology solutions within a marketing environment
Solid experience in third party vendor management
Has deep experience implementing an enterprise class content management system: Interwoven, Documentum, Stellant, etc.
Masters Degree in Business/Technology from a top tier school preferred
Technical Undergraduate degree preferred
