The Credit staff assists financial, telecommunications and other credit intensive institutions in designing, implementing and operating state-of- the-art credit, operational and compliance risk methodologies and processes that represent the leading practices within their industry and the best leverage of enabling technology.

Job Description

The Senior Manager will leverage knowledge and experience to manage the delivery of risk advisory solutions to leading consumer and commercial lending organizations including credit card, captive finance companies, large telecommunications and wireless companies, and key organization in the energy industry.  Projects will focus on credit processes, controls, credit and behavioral scoring tools and techniques, portfolio analytics, loss forecasting and operational transformation.  Typically, engagements are client-specific and designed to yield operational efficiencies, improved cash flows, reduced operating expenses, reduced financial risk and deployment of technology.  

The Senior Manager will have a primary focus on:
    Relationship building                          
    Leveraging staff on client projects and internal practice development
    Mentoring staff
    Eminence building
    Multiple engagement management

The Senior Manager responsibilities will include:
    Demonstrating Project Management and Program Management capabilities:
    Lead proposal development and engagement letter process
    Manage client billing & collections
    Manage staff
    Execution of projects
    Deploy / assign staff
    Review deliverables / quality control
    Demonstrating Subject Matter Expertise for the credit risk practice
    Building relationships/sell client work
    Meeting utilization goals
    Establishing eminence in the marketplace
    Demonstrating commitment to credit practice initiatives
    Developing thought leadership
    Assisting with credit risk management innovation
    Mentoring / counselling staff
    Leading and developing training

Minimum requirements:

The ideal candidate will be a motivated self-starter who works well independently or as part of a team.  The senior managerial candidate should have 10 or more years experience in the Credit Risk industry at a financial services organization, service provider or a consulting firm.  A BA/BS in an analytical, IT, business or finance-related undergraduate degree is required.  An MBA, CPA or MA/MS in finance or accounting is preferred.  The selected candidate will possess the following:

    Depth of understanding in more than one of the following:
    Credit Risk operations
    Credit risk management practices and methodologies
    Credit risk evaluation, including qualitative and quantitative approaches, as well as cash flow modeling and forecasting
    Credit modeling, analytics, loss forecasting
    Credit risk mitigation techniques
    Regulatory compliance and statutory
    Collection and call center operations
    Leading practices in credit processes, policies, reporting, etc.
    Credit systems and technologies to enable efficient execution of the areas above
    Understanding of capital markets activities and applications.
    Project management experience including the application of standard project management methodology
    Experience managing and motivating large teams of individuals
    Experience effectively interfacing with senior management and executives especially in client management situations
    Ability to team and network within the organization and externally with clients
    Strong communications skills both oral and written with outstanding presentation skills
    Willingness to travel (extensive travel may be involved)
    Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint,
Visio, Access and Project, is also required.
