The Little Schemer (recommended for all newbies)

Hi All,

Like me, a number of newbie Schemers have asked for a good reference or link
on Scheme.  Many pointed me in the direction of "The Little Schemer" and I
received it the other day.

To anyone interested in learning the fundamentals of programming (and
Scheme) I suggest you run to grab your copy yesterday.  This is not a
difficult book to read and the authors have made complex (to me at least)
issues seem obvious once you walk through the steps to get there.

There may be a temptation to breeze through material because of the writing
style but it is worth running slowly to make certain things are well
understood before proceeding to the next point.

This book is pure gold.

Kindest regards,

Mike
